The Institute for Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology at Döbling Outpatient Center is one of Vienna’s leading centers for radiology, MRI, CT, ultrasound, and interventional radiology. It offers state-of-the-art procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions affecting the entire body. High-resolution imaging technologies make it possible to detect and specifically investigate inflammation, consequences of injuries, diseases of internal organs, and tumors at an early stage. Diseases of the blood and lymphatic vessels can also be visualized and assessed with a high degree of precision.

A particular benefit for patients: Döbling Outpatient Center has agreements with all Austrian public health insurance providers, meaning that many examinations can be provided as services covered by statutory health insurance.

How we can help you

Comprehensive diagnostics at the highest level

Our range of services includes all modern diagnostic imaging procedures, including:

  • Digital x-ray/fluoroscopy
  • Digital mammography
  • Ultrasound (sonography)
  • Computerized tomography (CT)
  • Magnet resonance imaging (MRI)

These procedures enable fast, precise, and gentle diagnostics. Only X-ray, mammography, and computed tomography use ionizing radiation.

Interventional radiology: minimally invasive procedures with high precision

A particular focus is interventional radiology. Numerous minimally invasive procedures are carried out under imaging guidance, including:

  • Pain therapies for the spine
  • Organ biopsies and punctures under ultrasound, CT, or MRI guidance
  • Localization and biopsy of suspicious breast lesions
  • Interventional vascular procedures
  • Treatment of vertebral fractures using vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty

State-of-the-art technology for greater safety and comfort

The institute is equipped with state-of-the-art fully digital systems. These operate with a significantly reduced radiation dose while delivering even higher image quality. Shorter examination times also provide added comfort and a more pleasant patient experience.
