For people with special requirements, Döbling Private Hospital and Döbling Outpatient Center offer wheelchair-accessible entrances and treatment rooms, as well as wide corridors. There are also several lifts and signs that are easy to read so that we can ensure a problem-free and comfortable stay, during which you are able to move around independently.
Most outpatient centers are on the ground floor, where there are also three clearly-marked bathrooms with disabled access. For parents with children there is also a baby-changing table in these disabled toilets.
Tram line D (Rampengasse stop) has low-floor doors allowing step-free access to the Döbling Outpatient Center.
Parking spaces for the disabled are available between entrance A and entrance B, the main entrance to the hospital. The parking garage at Heiligenstädterstraße 46-48 – directly opposite – offers step-free access to the Doctors’ Office Center (on the first, fourth and fifth floors), the Institute for Physical Medicine (2nd floor) and the NEST Pediatric Center (ground floor).
Occasionally it is necessary or desirable to have an accompanying person stay in the room with the patient, for example, if the patient is a child or an elderly person, or simply because a trusted person should be present. Please feel free to discuss this option with our staff at the admission office.
There are no fixed visiting hours at our hospital. However, because you need your sleep, we recommend you receive your visitors between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm. We also ask you to please be considerate of the other patients in your room. From time to time we have to ask visitors to leave the room for a short time due to certain nursing and medical activities. Otherwise visitors are always welcome, as they are proven to be beneficial to the recovery.
In consultation with your attending physician, you may be discharged from our hospital at any time of day or night – even on weekends!
You will receive a confirmation of your stay from the nursing staff in your ward along with your other discharge papers.
You can find more information under the menu item Discharge.

Many of the services offered at Döbling Outpatient Center are included in the direct billing agreements with Austrian social insurance providers, and covered by compulsory insurance, which means they are largely free of charge for patients. These services are available on presentation of your e-card and in some cases a doctor’s referral.
If you are not sure whether an examination which has been recommended for you requires a referral from your doctor or not, please enquire by phone in advance.
If you do not have standard compulsory medical insurance, you may of course use any of these services on a private self-pay basis.
For any questions on what is covered by your insurance provider, any referral needed or the costs for self-pay patients – and of course to make an appointment – do give us a call on:
