At the beginning of your stay, please come to the admission office first. It is located on the ground floor, to the left of the entrance. When you have completed check-in, you will be accompanied to your room upon request.

When checking in please bring the following:

For your medical care:

• relevant previous findings
• appropriate X-ray images check-in
• Medical history (if any)
• Blood group card (if present)
  
  

For your administrative support / registration:

• e-Card (card with your Austrian Social Security number, if available)
• Austrian policy number of your private health insurance (or private health insurance card)
• Reimbursement agreement with your non-Austrian private health care provider or deposit
  
  

A deposit is required for all patients without private health insurance.

There are direct reimbursement contracts between Döbling Private Hospital and the following foreign insurance companies :

Van Breda International, SOS International, HTH Worldwide, BUPA International, Cigna, PPP Health Care, Tokyo Marine, HS Insurance

Direct billing means that Döbling Private Hospital will send the bill for the cost incurred from the hospital stay directly to the health care provider in question.

It is not necessary to bring your own bathrobe and hair dryer when staying with us. A bathrobe is available to you upon arrival in your room. In the bathroom you will also find a hairdryer. If you need a portable hair dryer, for example with absolute bed rest, please contact a nursing assistant.

We accept Austrian debit cards and all major credit cards.

Occasionally it is necessary or desirable to have an accompanying person stay in the room with the patient, for example, if the patient is a child or an elderly person, or simply because a trusted person should be present. Please feel free to discuss this option with our staff at the admission office.

There are no fixed visiting hours at our hospital. However, because you need your sleep, we recommend you receive your visitors between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm. We also ask you to please be considerate of the other patients in your room. From time to time we have to ask visitors to leave the room for a short time due to certain nursing and medical activities. Otherwise visitors are always welcome, as they are proven to be beneficial to the recovery.

Upon admission you will be asked to sign a statement acknowledging that Döbling Private Hospital is not liable for any lost or stolen monies and / or valuables. However, your room is equipped with a lockable closet to which only you will have the key. We ask that you keep your purse and other valuables there. During surgery, you may ask a nurse to hold on to the key for you. In addition, you may take advantage of the safe deposit box which can be found in each room to securely store your valuables. A user's manual for the safe can be found in each room.
 
Large amounts of money can also be deposited with the Admission Office. Please note that this service is only available during office hours, i.e. Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Fridays from 8.00 am to 3:00 pm.

Discharge from our hospital is not bound by office hours. You can check out every day around the clock, even on weekends.
 
We ask that your bill, for example telephone, minibar, parking fees, be settled at the reception. You can also pay cash by Austrian debit or any major credit card.
 
If you are a self-paying patient, we ask you to pay your bill at the Admission Office.

During your stay at our private hospital, you may feel the need to pamper yourself. Hairdressing, manicure and pedicure can always be arranged for you. Simply make your wishes known at the nurses' station and we will gladly make an appointment for you.

Free access to W-LAN is available in all areas of Döbling Private Hospital. Using your laptop or mobile device you can surf the internet in every room or even in our garden.

Who will look after your child if you need to stay at the hospital? If this issue becomes a problem, we have the solution for you: children ages 1-8 can be cared for in our "Harmony" kindergarten on a daily basis. This nursery is located across the street from our clinic and is open Monday through Friday from 7.00 am to 5 pm. The cost of care, including 3 meals from our own kitchen, is EUR 25, - per day.

During your stay with us you won't have to miss out on your daily newspaper. You will receive a free copy with breakfast. Other magazines can be purchased from a newspaper vendor, who comes by the hospital every morning.
